Parents usually want the best for their children, but does that mean they should choose their child's career? Let's talk about who knows better — parents with their life experience or children with their own dreams — and whether it's possible to find a compromise

  • Parents have more life experience. Doesn't that mean they know better what jobs are safe and stable?
  • Did your parents ever try to tell you what job you should have when you grow up? How did you feel about it?
  • Do you know anyone whose parents forced them to study something they didn't like? What happened in the end?
  • On the other hand, the world is changing very fast. Do parents really understand modern jobs like "social media manager" or "YouTuber"?
  • Can a person be truly happy in a "safe" job that their parents chose for them if they hate every Monday morning?
  • What if a teenager has no idea what they want to do in the future? Is it okay for parents to choose for them then?
  • If you become a parent one day, will you let your child choose any job they want, even if you think it's a bad idea?
