Why do we need school? Some people say the most important thing from school is not the lessons but the friendships and conflicts you survive. Do you agree?

  • Why is school still necessary?

  • What is the main purpose of school: to teach facts, to prepare for a job, to teach discipline, or to help you make friends?

  • Do schools prepare students for real life? What important things do they NOT teach?

  • What skills can you ONLY learn in school (not at home or on YouTube)?

  • Do schools kill creativity? Why do so many children stop asking questions after a few years of school?

  • Does school care too much about grades and not enough about real understanding?

  • Which subject should be removed from the curriculum? Why?

  • Which subject should be added to every school? (finance, cooking, emotional intelligence?)

  • Is learning history important, or is it just stories about dead people?

  • Should PE (physical education) be mandatory? What if a student hates sports?

  • Is homework necessary?
